We hope that you decide to be involved in this major llama event. It has been a long time since a llama sale published an event catalog due to ever increasing printing & postage expenses. After reviewing our Facebook survey with lots of positive comments, we have decided to make a Llama Pickin’ 2023 color catalog. To accomplish this, we are offering limited sponsorship spaces at reasonable prices below the costs over ten years ago and a minimal cost to purchase the catalogs. There are many new llama owners that will receive these catalogs for the first time. This is a great time to get your farm name out there for future sales & contacts. As you know, these catalogs are usually kept and used for many years to come. Ad spaces are limited, so contact us soon to get your desired space. It will be first contact, first served. Please make sure that your print ad is the correct dimensions and file format before you send it to us. This will ensure that your ad will appear crisp and clear when the catalog is printed.

All Ad File Minimum Requirements:

  • File Type: PDF
  • Resolution: 300dpi
  • Color: CMYK

Full Page Ad

  • Trim Area: 8.5in x 11in
  • Live Area: 7.5in x 10in
  • Bleed Area: 8.75in x 11.25in

Half Page Ad

  • Trim Area: 7.5in x 5in
  • Live Area: same
  • Bleed Area: N/A

Ribbon Banner Ad

  • Trim Area: 7.5in x 2in
  • Live Area: same
  • Bleed Area: N/A

The final trim size is 8.5 inch x 11 inch. For full-page ads, please ensure at least 0.125 inch bleed if the ad contains content that extends to the trim edge, and at least 0.5 inch clearance (safe area) from the trim to the page elements inside the trim area.

What Is The Trim Area?

The trim area is the size that the page will be cut down to. This will be the final size of the page. Each page will have 0.125 inches trimmed from it on 3 sides.

What Is The Live Area?

The live area is like the safety zone. You want to keep all the content within this area to ensure it does not end up getting accidentally cropped when the catalog is trimmed. There should always be a 0.5 inch gap between the live edge and the trim edge.

What Is The Bleed Area?

The bleeding ede is how far the ad design should extend so that when the page is trimmed, your ad will go to the very edge of the sheet of paper. For full page ads, the bleed is 0.125 inches.

  • How do I sponsor this event?

  • When will the catalogs be available?

    We expect the catalogs to be ready to mail beginning March 1, 2023.

  • What is the deadline for submitting a sponsorship ad?

    Please send your sponsorship ads to us by January 15, 2023.

  • I want to sponsor the event, but I do not currently have an ad or business card to send.

    No problem! We will provide complimentary design services for business card ads. For anything larger, Steven Ayers can provide custom design services as needed.

  • Where can I find the print ad dimensions?

  • I am sending in photos so that my ad can be designed. What size should my photos be and how should I share them with you.

    To ensure that photos appear crisp in print, please send images at least 2MB in size. If the image will be very large on a page, then 5MB would be ideal. Do not share images through social media messaging such as Facebook. These services scale down your images automatically and will cause your images to appear blurry in print. Please email your images directly to us at (support @ llamapickin.com)
